Had fun at the Patersmarkt 2009. Forgot to take pictures all the time.Missed some great ones. But those I have, I'm really happy with.Enjoy.
Also had the visit of Cabap, my valued friend and colleague.

Het was een goeie Patersmarkt 2009 voor mij. Ik vergat de hele tijd om foto's te nemen. Zo heb ik enkele goeie vergeten, maar deze die ik wel nam, waren ook goed.
Veel plezier.
Kreeg ook het bezoek van mijn zeer gewaardeerde vriend en collega Cabap.

The MAKING OFF : THE EASEL

Hello I got some mails and questions to publish a how-to of how I made my easel.
I think it easely done, when you put some thought in it, but here it is....
I do want to see some results of those who made them !

New easel

I finished my easel today. I bought me some tubes of different diameter, to be able to adjust the height. I glued a board in plexi on it with the aid of special holders delivered with the tubes.
I drilled some holes in the plate to place my markers, and I'm set up ! And it's very cheap too !
I used to use a real easel, but the leaning forward gives me a backache . I think this will work just nicely ! I think I am going to use this at the "Patersmarkt"in my hometown.

Ik heb mijn ezel vandaag afgewerkt. Ik kocht twee buizen van verschillende diameter, om in en uit elkaar te kunnen schuiven. Ik kleefde met superlijm de plexiplaat erop met speciale bevestigingsclips, die te koop zijn, speciaal voor deze buizen. Ik boorde ook enkele gaten in de plexiplaat, om mijn markers in te parkeren, en klaar is Kees ! En nog goedkoop ook !
Ik gebruikte vroeger wel een echte ezel(koffer-ezel) ,maar door het vooruit leunen kreeg ik rugklachten. Ik denk dat ik deze ga gebruiken op de patersmarkt in Izegem.

Live in Brussels II

Had a fantastic time in Brussels. I post these for now, and I will be preparing some live drawings later today.I also had the vistit of Mike Eppe and his lovely son. Nice.

Ik had een fantastische tijd gisteren in Brussel. Top organisatie, en dito ontvangst ! bedankt aan het hele team !! Ik ben nu wat van de tekeningen aan het prepareren om later vandaag te posten. Ik had ook het bezoek van Mike Eppe en zijn zoon. TOF !.

C'etait formidable, hier en Bruxelles ! Je suis entrain de preparer quelques photos des dessins, je vais poster plus tard. Mike Eppe m'à visitée aussi, très sympa !

Samer in the press

I was happy to see the articles on the blog of Robert Justin. but I really enjoyed seeing the original drawing I made for the Obama-challenge being printed big. Nice, Thanks Justin mon ami.

J'ai été heureux de voir les articles sur le blog de Robert Justin. Mais j'ai vraiment apprécié de voir le dessin que j'ai fait pour la Obamathème. Amusant, Justin Merci mon ami.

Ik was blij om weer eens de krantenartikels te lezen op de blog van Robert Justin over het Samer salon. Maar het deed me echt plezier om de originele tekening groot gepubliceerd te zien die ik maakte voor het Obama thema.Aangename verassing, bedankt Justin mon ami.

Here's some drawings I did in Samer. The boy with the ear connected with an MP3 player, was angry ,because his Mom forced him and the others of the family to be drawn....When the camera came out....yes, smile....

The magic of Samer worked again..

Just back from the fabulous edition of the Samer "Salon de l' humour et de la Caricature".
It was sheer magic. I will tell you more later.Now I have to sleep it off...
I was privileged to see the works of E-Caricatures- colleague Kaya, and later on by Cabap, (who visited us, and gave us a hand in drawing all the people that came to the festival). Thanks for that !
Not to forget of course, Gervais, Joyeux(!!),Boursier, Gibo, Jan Op de Beeck , Emi Sato and Justin(mon ami)..

Juste de retour de la fabuleuse édition de la Samer "Salon de l 'humour et de la caricature". Il n'y avait que la magie. Je vais vous en dire plus après. Maintenant je dois dormir ... J'ai eu le privilège de voir les œuvres de collègue d' E-Caricatures, Kaya, et plus tard par Cabap, (qui nous a visité, et nous a donné un coup de main à l'élaboration de tous les gens qui sont venus à l'evenement). Merci pour ça!
Je n'oublie pas , naturellement, Gervais, Joyeux(!!),Boursier, Gibo, Jan Op de Beeck, Emi Sato et Justin(mon ami)..
Pour l'instant je vous laisse avec 3 photos que je vais trésorer pour toujours...Enjoy !

Net terug van een opnieuw fabelachtige editie van het "Salon de l'humour et de la caricature" in Samer(Fr).
Ik vertel er later meer over, nu ga ik het eerst wat afslapen.....Ik had het voorrecht om de de werken van Kaya live te mogen aanschouwen,en later ook van Cabap(die eigenlijk op bezoek kwam, maar ons heeft geholpen om die stroom mensen allemaal te kunnen tekenen, bedankt Jan!)
Natuurlijk vergeet ik ook niet Gervais ,Joyeux, Bousier , Joyeux (!!) ,Gibo, Jan Op de Beeck, Emi Sato, en mijn beste vriend Justin.
Ik ga je nu laten met 3 foto's die ik ga blijven koesteren.
