Het is weer zover ! De 12de editie van het festival van Samer komt eraan in het paasweekend. Naast de aanwezige karikaturisten( zie poster en hieronder), zijn er ook werken te zien van JILUK ,BOROT ,LUC DE ROUBAIX ,YDEL, BODARD ,GRUET ,MARILO ,DACOSTA ,GRAND, SERDU ,MOINE, CTOFF, en L'ATELIER JUSTINDESSIN

It's that time again ! the12th edition of the salon of Samer(F) is coming up in the easter weekend!

HANZZ EXPO IZEGEM 2009

Just got home from hanging my pictures on the walls of the city-library in my home town.People just kept saying how fun these were, and how nice to have something like this of yourself. Who was I to disagree?

Net terug thuis na het ophangen van mijn karikaturen in de Stedelijke Bibliotheek in Izegem. De tentoonstelling loopt nog tot eind januari. Terwijl ik de werken aan het ophangen was, kwamen de mensen die het zagen, me vertellen hoe leuk en mooi ze dit vonden, of hoe leuk het wel niet zou zijn om zo eentje van jezelf te hebben. Wie ben ik dan om daar niet mee akkoord te gaan ?


Je viens de pendre mes caricatures dans la bibliothèque d'Izegem. J'y expose juqu'au fin de janvier. J'étais en train de les pendre et les gens venaient me dire qu'ils aimaient mes traveaux et que ce serait chouette d'avoir une d'eux-mêmes...

Qui suis-je de ne pas être d'accord avec cela?

Vandaag voor het eerst in eigen streek live getekend. (voor eigen volk zeggen de renners) De auto werd verbannen uit het stadscentrum. Het was een plezante zonnige dag. heel veel bijval gehad.Wat mij betreft , een succes ! En voor herhaling vatbaar

Today I had my first live gig in my own town Izegem. The event was a city without cars, and lots of entertainment,art dance, and yours truly. It was a very pleasant day, full of sunshine, laughter, big crowds. As far as I'm concerned : a succes !

Aujourd'hui c'était le village sans des voitures . C'était mon premier fois de dessiner pour le public d'ici. Beaucoup des artistes, vélos, promeneurs ,chevaux et HANZZ ! C'était super !

BOEKENBEURS IZEGEM

Dit jaar gaat voor de 33ste keer de boekenbeurs in Izegem door.
Telkens wordt deze opgefleurd door werken van lokale kunstenaars. Dit jaar ben ik aan de beurt, samen met nog 4 andere artiesten. Misschien zien we elkaar ginder ?

This year is the 33th edition of the bookfair of Izegem (B).
Each time there are expositions of 5 local artists, and I'm one of them this year.
So, anyone who finds Belgium on his path, make a side tour to Izegem ?

LIVE IN IEPER

Vandaag Live getekend in Ieper. Heel plezant, en eindelijk nog eens wat foto's om te tonen. Af en toe heel wat publiek en wachtrijen, alsook een ongewone klant... Allemaal goeie reacties, klant gelukkig ,en tekenaar ook.... Zo hoort het.

Today had a live gig in Ieper. Very nice and fun , and finally again some pictures to share. A lot of spectators and some lining up to get drawn, and even an unusual customer.... All good and nice reactions,.... customers happy.... caricaturist happy! That's how we want it.

ARDENNES

Had een fantastisch weekend in de ardennen , dit weekend. Hier wat foto's van een bijzonder succesvol "herten-kijk"-weekend.

Had een afspraak in Westouter, dit weekend. Het gezellige huwelijksfeest van Ann en Matthi. Ik was er gevraagd om live te komen tekenen op de receptie, veel plezier eraan beleefd en zo te zien de meeste mensen die ik tekende ook. Proficiat Ann en Matthi.

Had a gig in Westouter this weekend. The nice and warm wedding celebration of Ann and Matthi. I had a great time there, and judging by the reactions of those I drew,they had a good time too. Congratulations Ann and Matthi.

Heel speciaal en tof bezoek gehad zaterdag ! De Antwerpse vrienden van de Europese snorrenclub (ESA) kwamen mijn tentoonstelling in Brugge bezoeken. Heel plezante dag gehad, en nadien nog de stad zelf verkend. Hartelijk bedankt , Snorrenvrienden !
Sommigen wilden nog op de foto bij hun idool.(zelfs als het Robbie Williams was !.....)

Very special en pleasant company on saturday ! The Européan moustache club from Antwerp (ESA) came to visit my expo in Bruges. Very nice, and lots of laughter of course, what do expect, 14 people on a trip...After that ,we visited Bruges the city. Had very nice and Pleasant day ! Thanks moustached friends ! Some of them wanted a picture with their Idol....(even if it's Robbie Williams..)

Gisteren met mijn zus Mieke de prenten gaan ophangen in de Pas Partout. Heel plezant, we hadden gewacht tot de meeste tafels vrij waren, maar de mensen die er waren begonnen toch al met een rondgang waar er al tekeningen hingen.. Iedereen enthousiast,en raden wie er hing. Als je gaat en je ziet me er zitten, aarzel niet om een tekening te vragen, Ik teken je ter plaatse, duurt zo'n 5-6 minuutjes. Vandaag (en de meeste zaterdagen) ga ik terug, mijn tekenblok heb ik bij, dus...grote glimlach als je bij mij komt zitten ! hahahaha !

Yesterday I went with my sister Mieke tot the restaurant to hang up the caricatures in the restaurant. It was an instant hit ! The few people that were there (we waited until after the meals..) started doing the tour as we were hanging the pictures ! Gigling and guessing who was who, very nice and funny.
Everyone was happy, me and the staff as well, it's going to be funny months...If you come visiting, and you see me there , don't hesitate to come and ask me a caricature, it's funny and only takes up 5-6 mins of your time. So be sure to have your biggest smile with you. hahahaha !
