conté crayons

Bought some Conté crayons. Marvellous colours, wow!
I intend to use them more and more.. will post more drawings soon.
I do these drawings in some 10 minutes, If I can drop the time some more, I will use them in Samer (fr) on the next edition of the "Salon de l'humour et de la caricature".
These were not live-drawings, just a test to try out some exaggeration for a commission
The woman is a famous "Corel Painter Master" the man is her husband .
The pictures do no real justice to the real-world-colors !

C'est mon intention de les utiliser de plus en plus. Je vais poster plus de dessins, plus tard.
Je peux faire ces dessins en 10 minutes. Si je peux baisser le temps un peu plus, je veux utiliser mes crayons à Samer (Fr), sur l'édition suivante du Salon de l' Humour et de la caricature.

Ceux-ci ne sont pas de dessins "live", mais seulement un test pour tester quelques exagérations pour un ordre.
La femme est une célèbre "Corel Painter Master", l' homme est son mari.

Les photos ne vous montrent pas les couleurs vrais. Dommage.

COVER ART

Received my copy of ArtRage 2.5 plus. On the cover is one of my caricatures that I made with the software, this one is Andy, one of the main programmers of the software.

On the DVD are two step-by-step tutorials, showing the making of this caricature. This is top-software for a friends-price. go see..

Fernandel

Got on this one through the idea of Kaya, who was working on Fernandel. A legendary French actor / comediant .
This face just begs to be caricatured. I loved working on it. Hope you like it too.

Son visage doit être caricaturé, j'ai simplement dû le faire! J'aimais travailler sur lui. J'espère que vous aimez le résultat aussi.

Someone told me this man cannot be done as a caricature, since he is one..there's nothing to exaggerate.....all the more reason to try.
Had to draw an ugly one anyway. I have enough self caricatures hahahaha

Quelqu'un m'avait dit qu' il était impossible de faire une caricature de lui, car il est déjà une, en réalité... Il n'a pas de traits qu'on peut exagérer encore plus....
C'est pourquoi que je l'ai essayé.
De toute façon, je devais faire un autre type laide: j'ai déjà assez d' autoportraits, hahahaha ;)

I joined the NCN , and the forum now for over a week( 13 october ). Why does it take so long to get approved to that forum? What do they need to find out there? I haven't been asked questions, I payed my entrance fee, what more do I need to do?
I'm willing to send my shoe size, and details about my health too , if that's the reason why it takes so long to get approved. But no one is letting me know anything. Unprofessional in my eyes....Or is it just me thinking about it the wrong way? Has anyone encountered the same?

I think this is one of the better musicians these dayzz. I adore the Nelly Furtado album, on which he gave the best of his skills ,and thus raised the level of Nelly's great music .

Ceci est juste fini . Je pense que ceci est un des meilleurs musiciens ces jours.
J'adore l'album de Nelly Furtado, sur lequel il a donné le meilleur de ses compétences, et ainsi a élevé le niveau de grande musique de Nelly.

Tria Markers

I think I am addicted to new stuff.... just bought me 3 Tria Markers. Black and two shades of gray...Did some tests with them, quick drawings, around 8mins each. I intend to use them in France next year, by then I might have gotten used to them....

Ik begon deze als opwarmer vooralleer van start te gaan met een andere karikatuur, ik vond 'm zo tof, dat ik hem verder uitwerkte,en ten slotte afwerkte, alles in één sessie.

J'ai commencé celui-ci pendant qu'un croquis de "warming-up", mais je l'aimait tellement, je l'ai raffiné, coloré et fini lui dans une session….

comissioned work

just finished a commision for an A1 sized poster. Needed to be with cellphone and headset.
First time I did so much more than just the face,and the neck. I'm really happy with how it turned out. (let's hope i'm not the only one)

Here's the nightingale of Samer.A beautyfull girl that enlightened a whole evening at a dinner in Samer.
Everybody jumped to the occasion to draw her , moreover, she started kissing everybody that has drawn her.As soon as I found that out, I safely hided my drawing to finish at home. Just a close escape if you ask me !

I think I may call all of them friends of mine. I intend to keep contact with most of them.

Here's some of the victims I caricatured.Though I'm not used to doing this, (only the second time ever) I'm really happy with the result.
I know these people were too. Some were in pencil, others in painted in ink.

SAMER 2007

This weekend, Samer was the place to be for anyone interested, or involved in the art of caricatures.
We had a great weekend, one of the best and funniest of my life.I'll show you some pictures, there are more to come, I can assure you that.
Here I am with Robert Justin.We were asked to do a caricature of Abbé Pierre.I did mine on A3 size, framed it, and gave it as a present to him. He even liked it....

We were all very keen to dive in.
